A sample of our family protection dog quality seen here with the Dennis Lindsell family and their canine companion "Amore"....

Are you interested in a quality imported dog from Europe? Kromerhaus Kennels provides this service to their clients. Importing a dog is easier than you might think. We take special interest in assuring that the client gets exactly the dog they want and a dog that will fit their situation. And we guarantee it.

Q: Why do you import dogs from Europe?
A:
We have imported dogs for over 10 years. The major reasons we have brought dogs here have been for breeding, Police K-9 service, sport dog trials such as Schutzhund, Personal and Family Protection and just as companions. Q: Why would someone want to import a dog?
A:
Finding a suitable young adult, or trained adult in the U.S. is not impossible but it is actually easier to find one and have it shipped from abroad, mostly because of availability. Some people choose not to start with a 7-week-old puppy and some do. We only import dogs over one year of age. Not puppies. We breed puppies from our own imports for that purpose. Q: Who do you get the import dogs from?
A:
We have a number of people in Europe that we have done business with from time to time. However, almost 100% of the dogs we buy come from one person who we have dealt with for over 10 years. He has visited us here in the states and we are good personal friends along with good business friends. We will also on occasion visit Europe and bring dogs back with us. Q: Where will my dog come from?
A:
We purchase dogs from various resources in Germany and Slovakia. Most dogs that we accept come from Germany , Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, Hungary and Belgium. Q: Why do the imports cost so much more than a puppy?
A:
There is a substantial increase in outlay of money. However, buying a fully trained dog, or a dog suitable for breeding will increase not only the cost of the dog, but also the value. To purchase a quality bred, quality trained dog first requires someone to raise, train and probably show the dog for a substantial period of time.

Q: What is the shipping cost? Is there a quarantine?
A:
Shipping is always included in the price of the dog. It costs about $500 to ship a dog from Europe to our local International airport. There are no quarantine periods in the continental United States for dogs -- only in Hawaii. All dogs entering the U.S. must have a health certificate and current rabies vaccination. Q: What are the guarantees?
A:
After our initial consultation with a client, we evaluate their situation and request for a dog. Then, if we do not already have a dog that will suit them,  we conduct a search. Once we find a dog and secure it with the client, we guarantee in writing, the health of the dog, the authenticity of the documents and the training. We also guarantee that the dog will match your personality so that you can develop a strong bond with each other.

Q: What breeds of dogs do we import?
A:
We mostly deal in German Shepherds, but we have imported other breeds such as Rottweilers, Belgium Malinois, and Doberman Pinchers. We do have access to other breeds.

So, if an import is in your future for any of the various reasons. Please consider us as your importer. Check with our references on their satisfaction. We guarantee it!
